The short version: this website is an advertisement for vehicles we have for sale, not an offer you can accept. Prices do not include tax, title, registration, or documentary fees, and vehicles are sold as-is unless a written warranty appears in your buyer's order. Virginia law governs, and disputes belong in the City of Richmond.

Acceptance of these terms

By using citywayautos.com you agree to these terms. If you buy a vehicle from us, the signed buyer's order and related documents control that sale, and where they conflict with these terms, the signed documents win.

The site is an advertisement, not an offer

Everything on this site is an invitation to inquire about a vehicle. It is not an offer to sell, and no contract forms from browsing, messaging us, or receiving a quote. A sale happens only when we and the buyer sign a buyer's order, payment is settled, and the vehicle is released. We may decline any sale for any lawful reason before that point.

Availability and pricing

• Availability changes daily. A listing does not reserve a vehicle.
• Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax, title and registration fees, documentary fees, and optional products.
• Errors and omissions are excepted. If a price, year, mileage, or specification is wrong, we may correct it and are not bound by it.

Condition and warranties

Vehicles are sold as-is, with all faults, unless we give a written warranty in the buyer's order. Nothing here disclaims a warranty that cannot be disclaimed under Virginia law, including the warranty that we have good title and the right to transfer the vehicle. Virginia law also gives buyers rights in consumer sales that cannot be waived by agreement. Our Warranty Information page explains how as-is sales work and how a claim is made.

Test drives and deposits

Test drives are by appointment during business hours, and we ask for a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. A deposit holds a vehicle for a stated period under a signed writing and is applied to the purchase price if you complete the sale; if you do not, the deposit is handled as that writing states.

Title and liens

We disclose the title status of every vehicle before sale, including whether the title is in hand, in transit, or subject to a lien. If a lien exists, it is paid and released as part of the sale. We disclose any salvage, rebuilt, or branded title in writing before sale.

Trade-ins

A trade-in offer depends on inspection, the title being free of undisclosed liens, and the odometer matching the vehicle. We may revise an offer if the vehicle differs from what you described or if inspection reveals damage, and we complete the paperwork that transfers the trade-in title.

Financing

We do not arrange financing, and we are not a lender or a broker. If a buyer uses a third-party lender, approval, rates, and terms come from that lender alone, and the lender's documents control. We are not responsible for a lender's decision, timing, or fees. Nothing on this site is a credit offer.

Shipping and delivery

Shipping is arranged by third-party carriers at the buyer's cost. The carrier is not our agent, and risk of loss passes as stated in the carrier's contract and the buyer's order. We assist with loading and the carrier's paperwork. International shipping, customs, and duties are the buyer's responsibility.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for a claim connected to your use of this website will not exceed what you paid us for that use. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, storage costs, or loss of use. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for personal injury caused by our negligence.

Intellectual property

The text, photographs, layout, and code on this site belong to us or are used with permission. You may print or save pages for your own shopping. You may not copy our photographs or listing text into a competing listing, scrape the site at scale, or present our content as your own.

Submissions you send us

If you send us a message, photograph, or document, you confirm it is accurate and that you have the right to share it, and we may use it to answer you and complete a sale. Do not send confidential material you do not want recorded in our files.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts sitting in City of Richmond, Virginia, and both sides consent to venue there.

Severability and changes

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force and that provision is limited to the smallest extent necessary. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version, and continued use after an update means you accept it.
